Description:
Sporting over 7,000 acres of placid water, Waco Lake is surrounded by scenic parks and exclusive golf courses. It is a great place for fishing, with crappie being the most dominant species caught but also stocked with largemouth bass, white bass and catfish. Fed by the Bosque River, the lake is located directly west of Waco, offering several boat ramps for entry and overnight camping at Airport Park and other parks along the lakefront.
