we tried this place after seeing the billboard ..we were not very pleased with our experience. the place itself is very pretty inside but the buffet was overcooked and you could tell it had been sitting there a while. Our server was very nice but the food was not so great. We will not be going back.

The China Grill is a must NOT in Waco. The food was awful and the price was outrageous! $10 for the buffet ($5 for kids). Everything (down to the grapes!) had a weird, stale flavor. Even the croutons on the salad bar were stale. I had one bite of the egg roll and gagged. The sesame chicken was all grissle and grease. Everything on the buffet was beige. The only thing that I could stand to eat was the steamed rice, which you have to ask for because it's not on the buffet. (Of course, the buffet seemed well stocked in onion rings ... not what I had in mind when we set out for Chinese food.) When my five-year-old refused to eat a second french fry (that NEVER happens), he said it was because "I don't want to get too sick." Astute kid. I tried a bite and it tasted like it was fried in last month's oil. Never again.
